After recovering from that ordeal, I stupidly dropped my credit card in our downstairs toilet (it fell out of my jacket pocket), and before I realized what happened, it was being flushed down into the great unknown. By the time the plumber could get to us, it was too late, and the only thing I got out of it was having to pay him $150 to tell me there was nothing he could do. Note to self: always put by cc back in my wallet, even if I am in a hurry.
Finally, on Wednesday night, after a quick run to Ulta (I got a bottle of Essie in Ballet Slippers, btw- love it), I found myself locked out of the house with my key just spinning in endless circles. After standing outside for 3 hours in the cold, and the locksmith breaking five of his tools whilst cursing in some odd language (a mix of French, Spanish, and possibly some Japanese?!), we finally were able to get into the house. Our townhouse is newly built and the locks are these ultra-techy secure things that apparently do not let anyone or anything get passed them. At least we know that we're safe in here! Anyway, that ended up being $255, so I was just sick over it.
Thankfully, this is my light at the end of the tunnel. Take a look at my kitchen counter:
Ok, hope you have a great weekend! xoxo
P.S. Just wanted to spread the word that Heather (or Mrs. P to me!) @ Alis Grave Nil has a new website address for her blog- http://www.nothingisheavy.com/ So if you had the alisgravenil{dot}com address connected on your sidebar or reader, be sure to delete it and switch to the new one!
