Few colors intrigue me the way kelly green does. It's bold, luminous, and yet strangely inviting as it adds elements of warmth and sophistication when used as decor. I often see it used beautifully in rooms when I flip through home magazines, but I've never given it too much thought because it can be quite an intimidating color as well. After coming across a few of these photos, I realize that the key to using kelly green is to do so minimally, whether it be a single piece of furniture like the dresser above, or a couple of lamp bases like in the living room below. The color is stunning in even the smallest of doses, so I'm guessing sensory overload might become an issue if not used sparingly (this coming from the girl who had purple walls with sparkles for 5 years growing up! live and learn, right?).
