Anthropologie Love

I received a few emails about the Urban Outfitters dress I posted below- and after much searching you are right- it seems to be either out of stock or just unavailable. So sorry about that! I found this Anthropologie dress that is similar and just as perfect, so hopefully if you wanted to order the other one this will make you happy too!

I also loved this top- perfect for summer:

Christina Aguilera Transforms Ozzy's Mansion

You may remember this home from the popular reality series, The Osbournes, but soon after the cameras stopped rolling, Ozzy and Sharon sold their rocker-themed mansion to mega pop star Christina Aguilera. Although it's a bit over the top IMHO, I do think she did a great job at making the space reflect who she is.

I read somewhere (so who knows if it's true) that she turned Jack's old bedroom into a hair salon and that the closet above is Kelly's old room! Can you just imagine?!

Balance is Key

If I had it my way, our entire house would be decorated with white furniture, adorned with whimsical accents, and have an ever-so-slight touch of shabby-chic for comfort. Knowing full well that the boy would up and leave if that were the case (ok, he wouldn't leave, but he wouldn't be happy!) I have to be really conscious about finding pieces that fit both our personalities. Balance between femininity and masculinity is key, so using colors like black (timeless), gold (classic), and mixing them with earthy accents is a surefire way to appease both design tastes under one roof.

If you're skeptical of going with such a scheme in your entire house, try it out in a bedroom, office, or guest bathroom. Even one space with a more 'masculine' feel can make a big difference.

I also love the way this color scheme can be carried into the living room and dining area without being too powerful. Keeping the walls free of color and by adding in white elements like the dining chairs below, will help break up the space so it's not too dark or overbearing.

My faves to complete this look-

Chair, Pillows

Happy Tuesday xo

Girl Crush: Natalie Portman

I'm absolutely in love with Natalie Portman. I've been stalking her hair color as of late, so when I saw these photos I immediately saved them to show my stylist. I think I'm definitely ditching my highlights and going for a darker look at my next visit.

Sweet Tooth

I'm falling hard for this all-white dessert table by Amy Atlas. I've had such a sweet tooth lately; it's really bad. I'm talkin' coconut macaroons, shortbread cookies, white chocolate covered pretzels, etc, etc, etc. The problem is, we live by this amazing bakery and I can't seem to keep my car from taking me there every few days. But this must stop- I need to practice some self-control!

Are those marshmallows on a stick dipped in white chocolate with sprinkles? Lord help me!

PS. I did a guest post over at Le Musings of Moi yesterday and it was so much fun! Thanks, Summer :)

Bed Head Envy

When I saw this photo shoot for Elle Italia's March issue I was super duper jealous. Not because of the gorgeous model or because of the cute Burberry and D&G garments. (OK, I lie, maybe a little bit jealous of those things)! But no, really, it's the 'bed head' hair that left me dying!

{Photos Fashionrouge}

I've tried for years to get that "just rolled out of bed" look and have constantly failed- ending up with a greasy, lifeless mess. I've tried it all: washing/ not washing, air dry/blow dry, product/no product- no such luck!

Simple Spaces

It was so rainy and cold here in LA yesterday- loved it! I spent most of the weekend deep cleaning my house (outside of a quick trip to Sprinkles for some cupcakes!), so now we are all ready for Spring. Kind of a boring few days, but definitely productive!

Ok, since I have no clever transition to bring you from my uneventful weekend to these photos, I guess I will just say that I love them because of their simplicity. No paint, no wallpaper- just simple and clean spaces.

I need some of those clear chairs in my life. So cute!

Hey Demi

I was so excited when I saw Demi Moore would be on the cover of Elle UK's May issue. Although she hasn't acted much in recent years, I think she is stunning and exudes so much beauty and grace. Oh, and I sort of have an obsession with her voice- I love it!

I want to look like that good when I'm 47!

Hope you have a fabulous weekend :) Any fun plans? I think our house will be glued to the Master's to watch Tiger (unfortunately!). Hopefully after this we can move on and not hear about him everywhere we go!

Jennifer Aniston's Beverly Hills House

Lately I've been posting a lot of celebrity homes, and while it was not my intention at all to feature so many at once, I have to be honest in that I've been having so much fun looking inside all of their gorgeous pads! Maybe I'll do one everyday for the remainder of the week. Anyway, one of my favorites that I've seen is Jen Aniston's newly rebuilt Beverly Hills house which was featured in the March issue of Architectural Digest. I'm not only a fan of her designer, Stephen Shadley, but I also thought it was amazing how she made sure every single piece of design reflected who she is. It's old-fashioned Hollywood-meets-glamour, mixed with natural elements and I am just in love!

The views of the city are gorgeous as well!

PS. Can I just say Jen is motivating me to keep up with my yoga workouts.

Tory Burch: The Hostess

I was so excited when I saw this spread of Tory Burch's hosting ideas in Elle. Tory is one of my favorite designers (I live in Reva's and love my bags), so it was nice to see her personal style reflected in her kitchen and dining area. It looks like she makes quite the hostess with her simple, yet classy-looking treats.

I've heard that Tory is working on a home decor line to accompany her fashion line! I hope this is true because I will be the first in line!

Sophisticated Chic

I love the shabby chic look as much as the next girl, but often times I find pieces that are too shabby and not chic enough. Last night I set out online to find some more 'polished' looking pieces, and was so happy find a store in Notting Hill, Brissi, that sells furniture and home decor with the perfect blend of French country-meets-sophisticated shabby chic!

And then there's this little gem:

Ahhh- that tub! I almost can't handle the gorgeousness!
