Summer Hair: Side Ponytail

I recently cut 8 inches off my hair and it feels SO good. I was afraid of doing so for the longest time, but now that it's short I am really loving it. My only stipulation was that it still be long enough to put into a ponytail, and I'm so happy I adhered to such rule, because I've been living in side pony's (or is it ponies?!) as of late. Blueberry Coconut Bars - Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Soy Free, Vegan

With summer in full swing, I've been avoiding using the oven as much as possible, but I was forced to reverse my stance yesterday after realizing I had the ingredients on hand for these blueberry coconut bars with a lemon zest crust. They're gluten free and vegan, but I can almost guarantee that anyone who eats them will not have even the slightest inclination of any missing gluten or dairy components. I've noticed a lot of the grocery stores are having sales on fresh, seasonal fruit, so if you can find some discounted blueberries that would make these even better!

Currently Loving: Green with Envy

There is something so unique and charming about green colored accessories. The color is vibrant yet welcoming, and looks lovely on just about anyone or anything. On a recent trip to the Kate Spade store in Newport Beach, I spotted the green ostrich embossed passport holder below (#1) and it was absolutely love at first sight. Vibrant Party Decor

With summertime in full swing, parties and outdoor gatherings seem to be the only thing filling our calendars these days. While something as simple as a food display can be enough to decorate the space, it's always fun to add a little bit of color, which is why I'm loving these party accessories from Rie Elise Larsen. Desk Accessories

I don't know why, but I have an affinity towards all things office supplies. Paper, pens, stamps, envelopes; I am weak to all accessories of the like. Roaming through places like Office Depot and Michaels is the equivalent of a kid in a candy store to me, so when I found Letterbox Co. and their gorgeous office supplies, I literally squealed. Simple Summer Pasta Salad (Vegan & Gluten-free)

I love making this meal in the summer for a few different reasons. For starters, it's simple, quick, and doesn't heat up the kitchen. It's also extremely cheap for the amount of meals it provides, and can be eaten alone or as a side dish, which is a major plus for those nights that you just don't have the time or energy to cook. Substitute any ingredients with your own- it will still taste fabulous :)

*Update to answer a few email questions* The shallow pasta dish is from IKEA, and I actually found them in their clearance corner for $1.25/ea. I think they were on display before so that's why they were so cheap. But here is IKEA's full line of dishes that you may be able to find them in. The wood tile placemat is from West Elm here and the linen napkin is from World Market here (not sure if they still sell the same pattern but they have some really great ones for summer).
