Currently Loving...

...these decorations for the season (or anytime of year, really):

[Numbered Glass Votives, Reindeer Clips, Cookie Cutter Set, Tea Light Snowflake]

The tea light snowflake is my favorite.

In other news, I'm making butternut squash enchiladas tonight (gluten free/dairy free/vegan) and the house smells yummy. I will post the recipe later this week :)

Simple Holiday Decor

Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving. I am in the process of switching out all of our fall decorations for more holiday themed ones, but being that I cannot stand any sort of clutter, I've been looking up ways to do so without going overboard. I came across this simple holiday photoshoot by stylist Eva Lindh and fell in love with it's clean and simple feel for the season.

I love that wreath mobile above the dining table. I see a DIY in my future!

Black Friday Deals You Don't Want to Miss

I cannot deal with Black Friday. The crowds, parking, coughing, sneezing, yelling, pushing- all of it causes my anxiety to go through the roof. But on occasion I find out about a really good deal that is worth the few minutes of chaos. These are a few I'm keeping in mind...

Bare Escentuals - $20 off your next purchase of $40 or more when you spend $50 on Black Friday. While you don't receive the discount on Friday, you can redeem your coupon between 12/13 - 12/31.

Bobbi Brown - The most genius make up artist of our time. Get ready to stock up on your favorites like palettes and foundation sticks, and then enter code HAPPY11 for three travel-sized gifts of Crystal Lip Gloss, Extreme Party Mascara and Intensive Skin Supplement. The best part? FREE shipping through Monday.

Kiehl's - The skin and beauty care maven is holding it's annual Friends & Family to coincide with Black Friday. Enter the code FAMILY10 and you'll get 20% off all purchases along with complimentary ground shipping on orders totaling more than $30. You can redeem the coupon in store by printing it out here.

LancĂ´me - One of my all time favorite lines is offering their holiday makeup sets (normally priced at $78) for $39.50 each!

L'Occitane - 30% off Shea Orchard Medley and The Cherry Blossom Delicate Escape, and 25% off the Verbena Hand Wash and Lotion duo and Fleur Cherie Hugs & Kisses. Shea butter, almond and verbena products will be only $10 with any purchase on Black Friday only. Also be sure to look for their Buy-One-Get-One-Free soap and shea butter items through Monday.

M.A.C. - Forget Black Friday. M.A.C is pairing up with rapper Nicki Minaj and declaring it "Pink Friday." Pick up a limited edition, Nicki inspired vibrant pink hue that will on sale for four Fridays (11/26, 12/3, 12/10, 12/17) while supplies last.

Perricone MD - One of my favorite companies to partner with on my blog- the world renowned and celebrity loved dermatological company is taking $25 off any purchase of $150 or more with code MYLITTLESECRET at checkout.

Urban Decay - Their gorgeous and eclectic array of mascaras and lip glosses will be just $6 each, while nail polish sets and sleek shadow palettes will be $12. Offer goes through 3am EST Tuesday.

Happy shopping! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your loved ones. xoxo

Thanksgiving Tablescape Basics: Using What You Have

Searching 'thanksgiving tablescape' on Google for decoration ideas quickly overwhelms me every year. While the array of meticulously staged photos are beyond gorgeous, I must admit that over-the-top, fancy shmancy tables are not practical for our family most of the time. Some of my favorite pieces to use on a Thanksgiving table are festive, yet simple enough to arrange quickly without cutting into cooking and family time. Best of all? They're inexpensive- or free if you have a park or trail nearby.
Leaves, pine cones, branches, and acorns also make for beautiful table top decorations. The food is the main star anyway, so no need to stress over the decorations!

Cozy Components of Fall

It seems as if southern California has finally received the memo regarding cooler weather being an integral part of the fall season. While the temps haven't taken a drastic turn (think low 60s- brrr, right? I joke), we are experiencing crisp mornings that allow for layers to be worn, and sunny yet chilly afternoons which necessitate for our Starbucks orders to be made hot, not iced. I broke out the ole sweaters this weekend and we started our fireplaces, giving our tired AC a much needed break. Now that it officially feels like fall, here are some cozy components of the season I'm obsessing over:

Wool slippers:

Hope you had a nice weekend. How are your holiday preparations coming along?

Obsessed: Kate Middleton's Style

To say I'm obsessed with Kate Middleton's style is an understatement. Since the announcement of her engagement to Prince William, all I've been doing is Google-stalking this girl, and pretty much adore every outfit she has ever worn while in the public eye. It's refreshing to see someone in my age range dress with such decency and class, especially with all of the scantily clad media figures currently in the spotlight. Here are some of my favorite trends of hers, along with a few look-a-like picks of my own:

She is gorgeous. I cannot wait to see her wedding dress!

Seemingly Effortless

Sorry for my week(s)-long absence. Every time I sat down to write a post, something new would come up and take me away from Blogger. I've been busy working hard on a few things for the blog that I am excited to share with you in the next few months, but for now I shall continue posting (hopefully more consistently, of course).

When I came across this beautiful, modern home I was instantly drawn in by it's spacious layout and seemingly effortless, yet elegant decor.

I cannot get enough of the bathroom and the tub. I think I'd live in that room alone.

Looking forward to catching up on all of your blogs :)

Exposed Brick

Whenever I see exposed brick in a house I automatically think it needs a good splash of white paint, but these photos are quickly changing my mind.

Have a nice weekend :) Any fun plans? xoxo

Lanvin for H&M

Lanvin's new line for H&M is just stunning. I love the timeless feel and vibrant colors. Every piece makes for great interior inspiration as well; a win-win in my book.

I think that black dress is calling my name for New Year's Eve :)

Refreshed

Yesterday we spent a few hours exploring 120 acres of Japanese, Desert, Herb, and Zen Gardens at The Huntington Library in San Marino. It was nice to get away from traffic, smog, and hectic Halloween crowds, even though it's only about 15 minutes outside of the city. As we roamed the bamboo shaded trails, vast green lawns, and desert lined pathways, the fresh air went in and out effortlessly, while the cool autumn air enveloped us ever so slightly. Driving home, I felt both relaxed and refreshed; a hard combination to come by these days. Los Angeles never ceases to amaze me. It can truly be my playground if I so choose.

Hope you had a nice weekend. Here's to a wonderful week ahead...
