Currently Loving: Stella & Dot Trunk Show

One of my most favorite bloggy friends, Kodi, approached me about hosting a Stella & Dot trunk show and I thought it would be so much fun for all of you to shop at their fabulous store and receive some great jewelry! I love everything they have; I'd buy every piece if I was able to! These items are currently on my wishlist:

[I promise they have jewelry that isn't gold! I'm just in a vintage mood these days]

Go to Stella & Dot
At the top right- click 'Can't make it to trunk show? Find your hostess'
Enter Host First Name: Brunch
Host last name: atSaks

Happy shopping lovelies! Feel free to email me with any questions

Summertime and the livin' is easy

It's hard to believe summer is almost half way over! I guess technically it's only a third over, but I always visualize the year as if I'm in school, so the latter part of July equals summer coming to an end in my book. I've been keeping busy with work, reading, cooking, and day trips to the beach whenever time permits. It's been nice to take a little blog break, but I must admit that I always find myself missing it and all of you. Here is a little of what I've been up to:

A lot of walks and time spent at the beach (although, not with Louis balloons)! The weather in Los Angeles has been extremely nice so we've been going out to the beach almost every weekend to exercise, swim, lay out, look for shells, etc. I'm praying it stays this way!

A Homemade Life- I'm really enjoying this book by fellow blogger, Molly Wizenberg, of Orangette. I bought the book anticipating it to be a regular cookbook filled with fabulous recipes that I've found on her blog, but I was pleasantly surprised to read all of the wonderful family memories and associations she has with each recipe.

How is your summer going so far?!

Impress Your Friends Soft Pretzels

I used to love getting soft pretzels at baseball games and Disneyland, so when I saw Cupcakes and Cashmere make a batch, I just couldn't pass up the chance to make my own gluten free version. You'll definitely impress your family or friends with these! (Recipe here)

Drum roll please....

Not the prettiest little things- I need to work on my pretzel twisting skills.

They were so dee-lish. We paired them with our favorite side- mustard!

The recipe was super easy to make gluten freel. Swap out the all-purpose flour with any blend of gfree flour or a gf pretzel mix, and voila, all tummies are happy.
