Guest Blogger: Leslie from A Blonde Ambition

So excited to have Leslie from the super gorgeous and amazing blog, A Blonde Ambition, on Brunch today! I cannot thank her enough for taking the time to put together this fabulous, 'Into the Blue' post!

------

First of all, I'd like to thank Brunch at Saks for allowing me to guest blog for you all today! I was so honored and humbled for the generous invitation.

As some of you know that may have visited my blog before, I am a self-confessed home decor addict. Seriously guys, if they have recovery programs for this type of thing, I should probably check into it. I simply cannot get enough when it comes to decorative mirrors, coffee tables, throw pillows, lamp shades, etc. And lately, I've been buying oodles of blue accent pieces for my own space.

One of the most of-the-moment colors for summer decorating would definitely be bright blue. From teal to turquoise, blue is refreshing, modern and it compliments so many other shades on the color wheel. This season, try it with bright yellow, lime or kelly green, ebony or bone white for a super-chic color combo.

Bright blue can be paired with white woodwork for a clean look, (as they've done in the photo below), or with dark brown varieties for a more sophisticated look.

Looking for a fun color for an accent wall? Try one of these soothing, blue hues:

1. Lyndhurst Celestial Blue (5003-9C) by Valspar
2. China Blue (2052-60) by Benjamin Moore
3. Spirit River (B41-2) by Ace Paint

Remember, there are no rules when it comes to using bright blue, as it really is one of the most versatile colors around. Don't be afraid to experiment and, most importantly, have fun!

Be blessed, lovelies-

Leslie
